This scarf was designed as a sampler scarf for use in teaching beginner crocheters the basic stitches and giving them a piece to practice with. Six rows of each type of stitch (single , half-double, double, treble, double treble, and triple treble) make up half of the scarf, starting with single crochet and progressing to triple treble. The second half of the scarf is exactly the same, only it progresses from triple treble back down to single crochet before binding off.
