Pattern Description:

This open-weave boutique-style newsboy (or newsgirl) hat is a great all-season beanie for any age! This brimmed beanie crochet pattern works up FAST and is very easy. Make one to match any outfit! These hats make great gifts, photo props or make them for yourself! The perfect mother-daughter hat, a great go-to hat pattern for any occasion!

Skill level: Easy

Pattern includes 6 sizes from newborn to adult (head circumferences from 12-24") and includes the 3 Layer Flower Appliqu pattern.

This hat can be made with any worsted weight yarn (cotton recommended for a more breathable hat).

Patterns are easy to follow and are explained in simple terms so even those new to crochet should be able to read and understand them with ease.

11 sc st = 4"
5 sc rows = 1.5"
6.00mm hook (US J-10):
3 sc st = 1"
7 sc rows = 2"

  • 3-6 months - 14-16" head circumference
  • 6-12 months - 16-18" head circumference
  • 1-3 years - 18-20" head circumference
