Skill Level:

little skill level requirement Novice

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You will need to know how to do sc, hdc, dc, ch and slip stitches
  • Magic ring start is suggested, but you can use other methods (noted in the pattern)
  • Working in rounds

Pattern Description:

This is a super quick, stash-buster pattern for these very cute 'barefoot sandals'. You can also wear these with your flip flops for some extra flair.

At less than 10 grams of yarn needed, these sandals are a great way to use up leftover sock yarn or try out new colors/brands of yarn in the popular mini skeins. You can customize the length of the ties if you want to criss-cross them around your leg too - it's a fun look for the beach this summer!

You can also make these from a thin, sport-weight cotton yarn - they will be a tad thicker than if made from sock yarn, but it still works fine!

Gauge is not critical - mine was 14 rows & 13 sts = 2 inches in single crochet.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size fits all

  • Less than 10 grams/40 yards of fingering or sock weight yarn
  • Crochet hook US D/3.00 mm
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Suggested yarn:

40 yards of Fingering weight
