Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Chain, single crochet and double crochet

Pattern Description:

There is no reason your first crochet project can't be a wearable fashion accessory! Simple repeats of two stitch patterns give sophisticated texture, and color if you choose, to this scarf or cowl.

Pattern is presented without abbreviations (and then with abbreviated text highlighted) to aid in learning to read a simple pattern.

Adding yarn, changing color, surface crochet, and fringing are all explained in this pattern for the beginning crocheter.
