Pattern Description:

This is a PDF pattern for a super textured fun hat!! Some experience with front and back post double crochet is recommended. This hat is super thick and squishy and there are lots of options! Try it with a pom-pom on top, with earflaps and braids or without, with tassels or pom-poms on the ends of the ties. Different options for braids/ties are included.

All of my patterns are written using Standard U.S. Crochet Terminology.

Gauge:

15 stitches and 7 rows in double crochet = 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-3 months: 12-14" circumference
  • 3-6 months: 14-16" circumference
  • 6-12 months: 16-18" circumference
  • toddler/child: 18-20" circumference
  • teen/adult: 20-22" circumference
  • large adult: 22-24" circumference

Materials:

  • 8 oz or less of worsted weight yarn
  • "J" (6 mm) crochet hook
