3 patterns in one! Chunky cowl, medium weight scarf (or cowl) and a shawl in the same stitch design.
The shawl in this pattern group is one of my very first designs from many years ago. I have updated it to include two types of cowls that are very popular these days. The stitch used is very simple yet it produces a very elegant design making it easy for a beginner to produce something that looks very professional. I hope you all enjoy it!
The instructions include the red chunky weight cowl and the lighter gray Caron Simply Soft medium yarn. And, of course, the original shawl pattern..
In the shawl pattern I note that Caron has discontinued the burgundy color the shawl was worked in. I have since found a lovely burgundy that Yarn Bee makes in its Soft Secret line. It's very pretty so I would recommend it as well as the Caron's Autumn red I suggested in the pattern notes..
For chunky (Super Bulky) cowl: 5x5 inches (rope stitch pattern) = 6 dc stitches by 5 rows
For gray scarf/cowl and shawl: 5x5 inches (rope stitch pattern)=
10 dc stitches by 8 rows
