Pattern Description:

I LOVE this design and know you will too. I wanted to make a hat perfect for Spring and this is what I came up with. The lacy detail gives it a light weight feel and the variety of colors are endless! It was my very first OOAK hat and was asked by my fellow crocheting friends to write the pattern for it. Having never done this before, I knew I was in for an adventure! This may be my first but it definitely won't be my last. If you are looking for something different and want to show off your skills...this one is for YOU!

Quote from one of my testers, "It was so fun to make! Probably the most fun one I've made in a long time! :)"

Gauge:

Using size F hook:
4 ch = 1"
4 HDC x 2 rows = 1" x 1"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn (measures 14-15")
  • 6-18 months (measures 17-18")
  • 2-5 yrs (measures 19-20")
  • 5 yrs + (measures 20-21")
  • Also included are instructions on how to make in between sizes.

Materials:

  • 120 yds of med weight cotton yarn (I used Sugar n' Cream)
  • Size F crochet hook

You Will Also Need:

  • A steam iron (optional): If you are using cotton, steam blocking your piece will give it an overall finished look.
