- Tracing paper
- Colored pencils (Prismacolor is recommended)
- Colored pencil blender (Derwent is recommended)
- 1 bottle of textile medium
- Correction fluid or color correction pen
- 1 fat quarter of fusible interfacing
- 1 fat quarter for backing
- 1 fat quarter for background (a light color is recommended)
- A cheap paintbrush

I sat down to watch a bit of this class and finally got up stiff and sore and with a smile on my face when it was done. I could not tear myself away. I now have a fortune invested in pencils, fabric, etc and am getting ready to start a project. I know! you said not to spend so much but when you live in the sticks you have a tendency to order all you think you will need so you can do the midnight raid sewing thing, RIGHT? Now I'm a color pencil addict!
Sewing is relaxing for me; but finding a dress pattern that really fits, pinning, cutting out (on the floor until I get a table), marking, etc. etc. got to be a pain and not very relaxing. THIS I can do! I absolutely love it and now spend more of my time either looking for designs or thinking about designs...in just about everything I see. Thanks Lola

This technique was so much fun, and Lola was a very inspiring teacher. I have now finished my first project with very few colors (made some flowers), and shall start on the class project as soon as my new colorpencils arrives. Will also mention that the class had many helpful trick and tip for designing my own projects
