I bought a top whorl spindle at a fiber festival and had a brief lesson on the spot, then went home to try it on my own, where it got much harder without a teacher watching me. I do have a bottom whorl spindle that never made sense to me so it's been in my closet for years, ...
I'm a longtime knitter and I've always been curious about spinning my own yarn so I took this course, just for fun, to see what it was all about. I feel like I got exactly what I wanted: I learned all about different fibers, and spinning tools, and neat stuff like different ways to ply yarn. It was great! ...
I loved this class, I had purchased a drop spindle over 2 years ago and was letting it intimidate me. I seen the class and purchased and and very happy I did. She shows you how to work with different types of spindles and how to even make art yarn. If you want to start spinning this is a great way to start .
