Camera, Lens And Tripods Are Important

I enjoyed this instructor and what he taught us about using a good camera, lens, the correct tripod, and, also about finding good locations to photograph. I thot these lessons were well worth my time. What I learned here about intimate landscapes was very beneficial to me, and I'm anxious to purchase the correct camera & lens, and to start locating some of these landscapes. This class has already made me aware of the flowers, trees, and other intimate landscape around me. Can't wait to ...

It's What You Don't See...

I really like Rob's common sense approach to photography. I like the idea of stepping back to view the whole scene. In the example of the rock with lichens, I might have just looked at the rock itself. By getting more of the sky and landscape in the photo, the rock really pops out in the scene. So, it's not what I see at first look that completes the photo.

Getting Started

After the first two lessons, it certainly has my interest for the rest of the course. Having never done intimate landscape before, I had no preconceived ideas. Now I have a plan for looking for the shot and some things to keep in mind while looking for that right photo.
