Back Dart

Hi Suzy. My dart width is 3/8" therefore do I omit the back dart because of the back seam 3/8" we drew in to prevent the trampoline effect you mentioned.? I'm finding it easier to work in both metric and imperial to obtain more accurate measurements. The fractions are doing my head in.

Great class

I had attempted to make clothes in the past with less than desirable results. Lets say very poor results. I don't think I ever wore one item I ever made. This class and her bodice sloper and pants sloper classes have taught me so much. I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned and I have not even been through the entire class yet. Exceptional classes. Extremely satisfied

Good Class

More than a straight sloper class, lots of variation of skirt types. Could of done with more on levelling up the back hem for posture varation over 1/2 inch. Do you slash and spread the skirt and taper to the side seam line? Check your calcalations many times and measure your pattern and then add them up to make sure that it equals your starting measurements. A good starting place to learn patten cutting.

I signed up for all of Suzy's drafting classes, the are all wonderful. I teach basic drafting in a casual setting and these classes where like train-the-trainer for me. I've learned so much, and I'm asking for MORE! I've put in my request for Craftsy to have Suzy teach the entire certificate course that is offered at Apparel Arts. Hopefully menswear drafting, draping and creating a sample binder will one day be offered. One day soon I hope, For those of us who will never make it out to ...
