great mini class

very well presented. everything was very well explained.I enjoyed it and I learnt a great deal. even with the leveling of the cake. I always did it the opposite, I would cut right through. thanks for the tip.

Excellent Tutorial

Have been making wedding cakes for friends for years using fondant icing. My daughter wants butter icing for her cake in June. How far in advance can the cake be covered. I don't want to be rushing it the day before. I am doing gum paste peonies and roses so they can obviously be added on the day. Also, can I use ribbon on the cake or will the colour run into the butter cream.
