Stefanie Japel learned to knit from her grandma when she was 8 years old. She grew up wearing her sweaters and borrowing the ones she made for other people. Most of these sweaters are raglans, knit in the round from the top. Stefanie continues this sweater-making tradition.

Loved the instructor Stephanie, she made it fun and relaxing. she also went over it in areas that may have been harder for new beginners (such as myself) I really appreciate it. The music was even catchy and fun! I look forward to another class with her!

I was taught to knit at around age 8 or so but never really got interested in it at the time. I've tried over the years to re-teach myself and wound up very confused.
This course managed to 'clear up confusion and the instructions are very clear. The video is edited as such that you can see what she is doing and Stephanie doesn't knit too quickly when she is demonstrating the new stitches or techniques that are brought with each session. I've signed up for the rest of her courses ...

Hi Stephanie! I wanted to learn how to knit and was looking for classes to attend and stumbled across Knit Lab. It is so awesome to go at my own pace and review the material as much as I need rather than to wait a week in between a class somewhere. I especially love the modern feel, the easy function of the web site, and although silly, I look forward to the little theme music too! I appreciate that you used a project to teach with that wasn't boring and had lots of different knitting ...
