Nothing can replace that magic pair of jeans. But would you believe that you can make your own perfect-fit copies? I'm going to show you how to clone that fantastic fit in my Craftsy class: Jean-ius! Reverse Engineer Your Favorite Fit.

I'll show you how to make your jeans into a blueprint. Don't worry: we won't be taking them apart or harming them in any way. I'll show you my ingenious method to create a pattern that lets you make pair after pair of fun, flattering trousers in any fabric, from casual to dressy, for women or men. I'll also teach you construction tips picked up in years of couture sewing from New York to San Francisco - things that make details you thought were hard a total breeze. I'm talking about shaping pockets, shortening zippers, sewing the crotch seam, and creating a perfectly tailored waistband.

In 11 HD video lessons, I will walk you through measuring, drafting and construction. If you're not happy, Craftsy will refund your money, no questions asked. And speaking of questions, ask away: I'm here to answer them all. One of the things I love about Craftsy classes is that you do them on your own time, as many times as you want. Enroll once and sew for a lifetime!

Introduce some genius into your wardrobe: enroll today in Jean-ius! Reverse Engineer Your Favorite Fit!

Excellent Jeans AND Techniques Galore!  May 15, 2012

Ezara

Mr. King is a charming and funny instructor that quickly puts the viewer at ease. His explanations and demonstrations at each step of the process are very clear and easy to follow and understand. Participants in this class will learn just how easy it is to copy a favorite pair of jeans as well as couture techniques that make the finished pair of jeans look like they came off the rack at one's favorite jeans emporium...only better!

I highly recommend this class and I hope that ...

Excellent Learning alot  May 15, 2012

I didn't make the jeans, I realized that I didn't have a favorite pair that fit. However, I learned a lot. I used the class as I constructed a pair of walking shorts from a pattern, I have been sewing since age 12, 53 years ago and had never need to know how to do slant pocket or put in a fly. Thanks to Mr. Kings iincredible teaching ability I did both with great results. It was an horner to be in a class with Mr King, whom I have admired for many years. It felt like I had made a new friend. ...

Excellent Better than Chocolate ( almost )  May 15, 2012

I bought myself this course instead of Easter Eggs this year!! ( Maybe that will help me fit into my jeans better ) Mr. King has a charming, engaging manner and obviously enjoys passing on his years of experience in the sewing world. I have watched the videos from start to finish in preparation for starting my own project and have enjoyed every minute of them. Like some other classmates, I have been sewing for most of my adult life and I'm 61years young. Jeans and trousers have always ...

Excellent Great Process & Techniques  May 15, 2012

This was a great class. I recently took a hands-on jeans fitting and construction workshop, so I was most interested in the sewing techniques. I was not disappointed. I've always wanted to take a hands-on class with Kenneth King, and this was the next best thing. Hope to see more of his classes here.

Excellent Excited !  May 15, 2012

I am so stoked about this class. I want to try Mr. King's amazing way of copying garments on lots of other clothes in my closet. I am a pattern fitting textbook of fitting issues, and sewing for myself has usually resulted in tossers, but now I can copy clothes I own that fit. Once I have the fit, I can get creative. I feel empowered and enabled. Thanks so very much!

This is one of the best classes that i have ever taken. i love the pace - everything was easy to see and follow. The extra tips can be applied to many other garments. Please do some more classes. As a side note. I applied some of the principles to a jacket that i love and now have a jacket pattern as well.

Excellent Who would have thought......?  May 15, 2012

sew sew

I've been sewing for a very long time, taken many classes, I consider myself an experienced sewer, yet still have much to learn. I've never even thought to copy a pair of jeans, and when I came across this course, I was intrigued. Loved it, loved it loved it! I've been getting my materials together and now that I have them, I can't wait to make a start. I've even been watching the course for entertainment as well as for instruction. I've even taken the time to purchase the same notions that ...

Thank you , Mr King, for sharing your knowledge in this way! You are a great teacher. It gives so much information by looking at a true professional in action in this way. There is nothing like this in my country and now you give me the possibilities to improve my whole wardrobe. I see that this method is great what ever garment I want to dupicate. This is a great way to learn! Specially for those of us who canīt travel to take classes.
