A Note from Alice Medrich, Instructor of Decadent Chocolate Cakes
My name is Alice Medrich. I am an author, a pastry chef, and a teacher. My career started with a single bite of a homemade chocolate truffle in Paris in 1973. I opened my own chocolate dessert shop in 1976 in California, and was recognized by The New York Times for creative leadership in those early days of the gourmet food revolution. I've been a featured chef on the Food Network and PBS, and I've taught cooking classes across the country. Since selling my company, I've written eight cookbooks and won three cookbook-of the-year awards. I am so excited to be a Craftsy instructor so I can share my love of chocolate and my expertise with this extraordinary ingredient.
