Good Ready for my close-up!  May 16, 2012

Lin H.

I have been quilting for many years and has always admired the pictoral and people quilts. Now I have learned how to tackle these projects. I have been living in Portugal for 4 years and just love the scene from the docks in Porto, Portugal. I am planning on using a picture of mine and making the town scene with all the houses covered with color and texture!

Okay Pictorial  May 15, 2012

I found that there was to much time spent talking about what you could do, but not enough time spent on how to do work on the quilt. At times it felt like I was at a quilt show. Although I did gain information from this course I feel the teacher could have offered more.

So happy to finally have the opportunity to learn this facinating pictorial quilting technique. I can't wait to get started and try Wendy's method of creating my own amazing story quilts! Wendy's teaching style is relaxed and easy for a beginner pictorial quilter to follow along. Her passion is evident and it's contagious! Thanks Wendy for a wonderful quilting experience!

I would have liked more showing of what to do rathe than just talk about it. This time there were times that she didn't even look at the camera just off in the distance. Her other classes were more interesting but would still sign up for more of her classes..

Excellent Where do I start?  May 11, 2012

So, where do i start? not only from the quilting perspective and using my photos for my inspiration, but also with the evaluation of this course. Wendy is great, she inspires me not only to do it, but do it till you get it right. The quilt is, in a way, a way to pay homage to the instructor. I just hope she finds it worthy of all the time and soul bearing she goes through. stay tuned for pictures.

Good Pictorial-greatness!  May 1, 2012

Loved this class. It showed a great perspective of values and visions. She even shared a few tips of competition requirements for quilts. The sharing of all her examples and the story about them just made every quilt shine within its process and final outcome. Everyone needs to understand exactly where each quilt starts from and what it represents in the quilter eyes. I will be referring to this course for a longgggggggg time.

Have about 6 quilts to my name and this course ...
