I machine quilt when life affords me the time. I started a few years back when I wandered into a local quilting / fabric store and was just carried away with the colors and patterns of the fabric on display, and then quickly discovered they offered classes in machine quilting ... it was not necessary that I have own machine, which I did not at the time, since they offered the use of their machines in the store. I bought my Husqvarna before the end of that first class.
I enjoy quilting because of the creative outlet it gives me, and because I find that making a quilt is an exercise in a series of happy accidents. I am always pleasantly surprised in how each quilt evolves. Maybe someday I will be good enough to plan from the beginning how my quilts will turn out. lol
