On Sept 8, 2001, my 18 year old daughter was killed in a car accident and I had heard about making Memory Quilts for loved ones lost. After picking out a pattern, fabric and making all the cuts I was stuck. Just couldn't tackle sewing the quilt top. I simply didn't know where to begin. I revisited "Jessie's Quilt" regularly but couldn't get it going...until last November 2011, I planned a weekend away to visit my Aunt Penny, in Oregon. I kidnapped my Mom, we hopped on a plane and spent a long weekend creating family memories and starting AND completing The quilt top! There's more to the story but for now, that started it all....I've been sewing/quilting almost daily since the Oregon Adventure.
