I've been sewing since the late 1960's; self taught, and in the last 4 years have returned to the craft in a serious way. I prefer garment sewing. I also knit, and do other needlecrafts. I owned a luxury yarn and fabric shop for a few years, closing it in 2011. I am a member of the American Sewing Guild, and teach both knitting and sewing.
