My first escapade in needlework was when I "helped" my sister with her knitting (unbeknownst to her) at the age of 6 or 7. She was a bit miffed at the dropped and extra stitches and gave me a couple of lessons. Another sister taught me to sew and crochet when I was 11 and the rest is history. She was a bit miffed at the dropped and extra stitches and gave me a couple of lessons. Another sister taught me to sew and crochet when I was 11 and the rest is history. I've tried just about everything but tatting and became a quilter in 1993 when my daughter announced that she was making her wedding quilt. My help was needed since she had never shown any interest in learning to sew. Is it possible that that was almost 20 years ago.
