About 30 years ago my mother gave me money for my birthday. When I was looking through a women's magazine, I found a coupon to send for a free counted cross stitch kit from DMC. After it arrived, I became hooked on counted cross stitching and used the money my mom gave me to start my cross stitch stash. I have been stitching ever since, making wedding samplers, baby bibs, stitching with waste canvas on clothing item for myself and others and many more items. Most projects I've given away as gifts but a few are gracing my walls. I have been married for 38 years to a wonderful man who does all the cooking. Together we have 7 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who are spread all over the US! My husband and I enjoy travelling to visit family with our RV, as well as taking it out just to be by ourselves. We also enjoy taking long rides during nice weather through out the neighboring countryside. I enjoy reading so much it competes with my stitching! I also enjoy photography and am seldom found without my trusty camera.
