I started my first project when I made a quilt out of my mom's jeans after she died. I started my first project when I made a quilt out of my mom's jeans after she died. I did not know that I was quilting until I told someone that I was sewing blocks together to make a blanket and they said that I was quilting. And I said "I am???" :) I have made a couple baby blankets and am proud to say that my little boy always slept in the blanket I made him when I was pregnant. I love quilting. I don't think I am very good at it. I love to go to quilt stores and just look. I could spend hours just looking. I am not very confident in picking my own colours and really appreciate quilting stores when they put kits together or at least a stack of bolts together that would go well. I also like to crochet afghans but have a million so have stopped making them. And in my spare time (haha) I like to cross stitch. I have been working on a Christmas stocking for my son for two years......good thing it is not child's theme stocking!
