I'm a mum of two gorgeous young children who are my greatest inspiration. I LOVE making special things for them. I have always loved experimenting with different crafts and being creative. I started out doing collage as a child because mum's discarded magazines and PVA glue were readily available. I covered the furniture in my room and anything else I could get my hands on!
I now dabble in anything that I think looks a bit interesting. I dislike being restricted to patterns, so have never used them, and my greatest sin as a novice quilter is that I don't really like measuring or ruling things either so I rarely ever do!
I rotate between periods of quilting, crochet, gardening and stitching tapestries (I do follow patterns for the tapestries!) but will try pretty much try anything once. Everything I do is mostly a product of pure reckless experimentation, but I will occasionally Google a technique if I can't quite work out how to approach something I'm trying to do!
