I started sewing when I was 7 or 8 yrs old, I made a picture of a fish swimming underwater, didn't know it was called applique back then. It was put into a display and never saw it again but still remember it.
After I married, I lived in a remote mining town, no T.V. or radio, so taught myself how to crochet.

About 30 yrs ago I joined a 'Learning Centre' that had a creche, so over the years I joined a patchwork group, oil painting class, leadlighting, cake decorating, beading, lampshade making and lastly, silk embroidery, . In the last six years
I moved to the country 6 yrs ago and learned, spinning, felting, caligraphy and various other crafts, Was president of our local craft group for 3 years. Can't walk past a craft shop and love everything, "Country".
