I started sewing when I was 7 or 8 yrs old, I made a picture of a fish swimming underwater, didn't know it was called applique back then. It was put into a display and never saw it again but still remember it. After I married, I lived in a remote mining town, no T.V. or radio, so taught myself how to crochet.
