I am not crafty. I was a tom-boy through and through. . I didn't like what I called the "foo-foo" arts until my dad became ill and was hospitalized for many months. I made an angel from a kit. and wore it one day. He loved it. That's what spurred me on. So, I decided to wear a new one every day.I made them from found objects that had personal meaning to the family. Over time I had made lots of them. The nurses, other patients and visitors to the hospital started asking me to make one for them. Thus, a hobby- turned- business began. My dad is gone now, but I never make an angel without thinking of him.
I have discovered a joy I could never have imagined. Now, I design, have authored a book and teach "angel making" at the community college.
