I was taught to crochet when I was young, 2nd grade or so, by a lady we called Granny, even though she wasn't our Granny. I spent many hours over at her house. I don't remember how much she taught me and how much I just learned on my own as I went along because we moved when I was in 3rd grade and I don't remember anyone else teaching me. I didn't learn to read patterns until I was pregnant with my son (now 6) and then I made about 12-15 baby blankets. But then I had a stroke and brain surgery 2 years ago, and have been relearning, as well as learning how to accommodate for my left hand that doesn't work as well. But I'm really enjoying it, and spending most of my time crocheting, and now I'm attempting to learn to knit as well (thanks to Craftsy!).
I'm trying to get better about adding my projects here, but I use the same name on Rav if you want to follow me there.
