In the 50s paper dolls were the big thing for us little girls and I made them constantly! Then as a 7th grader I learned to sew and cook with one semester and continued on my own with no sewing machine of my own... until college when I purchased "waterless cookware" for the sole motivation of receiving the free sewing machine! From that awful machine I made my wedding dress, designed the invitations, etc. Though cooking was also a skill that some believe I have developed quite
well, it is quilting that had helped me bloom!!
There is creativity in the giving to others a quilt. I have not kept any of my quilts that I have made, thank goodness for iPhoto. So, your style of providing me an opportunity to learn at my slow 60 year old pace has been an encouragement to me that is a joy to share with you!! I only want to become better so that I too can give what I have learned to others! Thank you!
