I starting sewing when I was about 9-yrs old from my mother, who taught me how to hem. Unfortunately she never taught me any other sewing basic's but our neighbor did. When I had children, I taught my son & daughter how to sew when they where quite young. My daughter loved to sit on my lap (with her hands folded on her lap) & watch me stitch things together.
