I was lucky enough to have a creative mum. She had me making cards by the age of 4 and cross stitching in my teens. I learned to knit in a local craft cafe aged 29. A lady called Beryl taught me. She learnt during the war, had a beehive hairdo and a permanent glass of red wine on the go. I love how craft is handed down between the generations and believe both women were great role models for my novice knitting skills!
