My mom and older sister taught me to sew and by age 9 I was sewing up shorts and crop tops by the dozens for nieces. I sewed a lot of my own clothes and at 16 decided to make all my nieces (13 at the time) jumpers and blouses for Christmas. After that, sleeves and collars were a snap!
