It wasn't until I got older that I realized this was a skill and not everyone could do it or even was interested in it. The one thing I never did learn to do as a child was knit. Being left-handed, everyone told me they couldn't teach me to knit. I have no idea why they thought that, since knitting really isn't a hand dominated skill. I finally found someone who offered to show me about a year ago, and I haven't stopped knitting since. I plan to do more sewing and would like to learn quilting. That is if I can put down the needles!
