I started sewing , knitting, crocheting at the young age of 7 years old! My Italian grandmother whose name was Elvira (aka El-Vee), taught me all of these crafts. My grandmother was from a family in a small town on the Adriatic Seacoast of Italy called San Benedetto del Tronto. My grandmother could not read or write English so she would interpret my English printed patterns and revise them for me in her own design.
I have been making my own designs in sewing ,knitting, and crocheting since a very young age.
I now have retired from a long career as a women's health nurse practitioner.
I own a small business called, "The Pinky Bird".
I make pottery, yarn bowls, knitted hats, crocheted hats, scarfs and "El-Vee" bags.
