I'm a handmade jewelry artist and partner of Rose of Sharon Jewelry. We are 9 women family members creating our own one-of-a-kind jewelry. I came late to lift was a crafter (both Mom and Granny were so worried about me) when I started making homemade soap that was allergy-free.
Soon I decided to make a necklace for my sis-in-law, Sandra's birthday. I got hooked and started teaching myself stringing, wire-wrapping, color design and more. I'm always learning and exploring new ways to express myself in my jewelry.
It seems when I look back that I was always crafty but I just didn't see it. My creativity as a freelance writer and published author was overlooked. Plus I'm a certified Master Gardener and love to create with flowers. I can take a mean photo so photography is a passion, too. I love to cook and am starting to teach my 6-year-old twin grandsons the pleasure of making all kinds of good.
I have abandoned the corporate world to be a full-time Grandma to 3 boys, a busy wife with a Road Warrior hubby and someone who wisely knows that the world is a much better place because of those who create daily.
