I took a "Home Ec" class in 8th grade - had to shorten the zipper, so after cutting off the top, I zipped it up :( Needless to say, although my love for sewing began on a bad note (I got a B+ b/c the sewing was very good just the dress was unusable - wish I'd known to remove the zipper and put in a new one!).
