When I was eleven my mother allowed me to make a skirt for dress-up playtime, what fun! The skirt was black, the seams were stitched with white thread, It was quite a creation. That simple play-time planted a seed for a career that has spanned several years. Starting with alterations, doll clothes, quilting, crafts, I even had a bear making business. It seemed I had done it all until one day I did a window treatment. That's where my heart was captured. I believe we all have a sewing niche where we can shine, mine was window treatments and household furnishing. Window treatments will dress the room for many years; choosing the right fabric as well as style and design is critical for your client. Patty's Window Treatment's and Home Furnishing was closed in 2008 in order to pursue another avenue, Sew Biz coaching.
