I’m 46 years old and have been married for 8 years to a wonderful man I met on the internet playing a game called Everquest. Before learning to craft I was heavy into computers and computer gaming. I’m disabled after having 3 major spinal surgeries. This has kept me home looking for ways to fill my time and take my mind off of pain. My pain doctor suggested I pick a hobby. I went to Hobby Lobby and found two kits on the discount shelf, crochet and knitting. I learned crochet first and then a year latter I learned how to knit. I love both crafts very much, thou I tend to spend more time knitting these days. I enjoy crochet for toys, afghans and as a way to compliment my knitting. I’m completely self taught and have picked up a nice collection of yarn and books. Unfortunately we don’t have any children but we have two cats that believe they are. I also enjoy reading, country and classic rock music, movies and spending time with my family. I have a niece and nephew who live close that I get to spend time with. They love getting knitted and crocheted items from me. They also love to play with yarn so I’m hoping to eventually teach both of them to knit. Recently I also learned to use a sewing machine and have begun Quilting. I've totally got the bug and just love it. I've pieced together two quilts in the past 3 weeks and I'm now looking forward to machine quilting it. I found this site and tried a trial video and knew this is where I needed to go to get my Crafting education.
