What materials did you use? Scraps for boys White on white polka-dot

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Even though it listed the size, it was much smaller than I expected, and I added an extra row to mine. When I make it again, I'll make it twice as big.

Ooh, great job! I'm so happy to see you share it on here :) It looks so fun in those fabrics. The border you added is a nice touch. Did you use the offcuts from the hearts?

Thanks so much! As I started cutting them off, I felt like it was so much waste, I just sewed on the other side of the diagonal line before I cut the corner off. I only used the corners from the bigger bottom squares-the smaller ones were much to small and I did throw those away! I was afraid I wouldn't have enough to make the border, but I still find the leftovers floating around!

I find it wasteful to throw those triangles out too and never do. I have a bunch of HSTs sewn in the way you did yours (before cutting the corner off) that will one day make it into a quilt, and a small container of loose triangles for when I get the urge to make mini blocks. It's great to see how you've used yours - and so funny that you're still finding the leftovers floating around :)
