Instructions
This quilt is a tuffed quilt. I used an tuffing knot that I use in upholster to knot the quilt. I made this quilt for an older child, I don't advise that you use buttons on an infant or toddler quilt.Category: Quilting
Type of item: Home Decor
For: Girls
Style: Cute
Materials
Printed and plain cotton fabric, polyester quilt batting, a heavy chrochet yarn, bleached muslin for the backing, and asorted colorful buttons.
What was your inspiration?
I made this for my Grandaughters 7th birthday. She still likes Tinkerbell but I am sure in a couple more years she will want a more grown up theme for her room.
What are you most proud of?
The absolute delight in my Grandaughters voice when she told me how much she loved it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I made the tufting using an eight inch upholstery needle. Mine was a cheap one from the hobby store. I would suggest that you get a good steel upholstery needle from an upholstery supply.
