Instructions

Use your fantasy and your machine

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Holiday, Cute

Materials

cotton, thread, embroidery thread, Janome MC 5200

What was your inspiration?

I started making x-mas bags some years ago. Because special c-mas cloth is quite expensive I am using simple ones and applique or in this case embroider. This year I started to explore the stiches of my Janome MC5200.

What are you most proud of?

That I can give gifts in a gift ;-) and reuse every scrap of material

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Its not necessary to have an embroidery machine (although the deer from urbanthreads is too cute) You could easily make an application or use your decorative stiches to make litte stars or so. Even with a straight stich and a special thread you can create beautiful things. Just start.

What a wonderful idea! Great way to use up small pieces of fabric and still give it a personal touch. Thanks for sharing! We now have 11 months to make these.
