Materials

funky Hawaiian print with a bright turquoise for the pound sign. I wish I had bought more of this so I could make a baby quilt for a friend. Maybe the store will still have it.

What was your inspiration?

This wonky fabric. I always sew in Hawaiian prints, but this was a little funky and different...and cute.

What are you most proud of?

Well, this isn't perfect. I'm still having a little problem keeping my 1/4 inch steady, but I'm getting better. My quilting foot doesn't have a 1/4" edge so I have to use a mark on a tape.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a really fun project; wonky, different and amazingly easy.
