What was your inspiration?
The feature fabric - Opal Owl by Tina Givens for Free Spirit. I also needed a baby shower gift after I learned at the last minute that it was a boy... And the pink quilt wouldn't work.
What are you most proud of?
That I made it in 2 afternoons while I had the flu.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Draw it out on paper first - I know its improv but I had just barely enough fabric, so I drew it out until I had an idea of which way I wanted the angles to go and the proportions of each piece.
