Hmmmm. I'm not so sure this is wonky. It looks like you have a 1/4" seam allowance all the way around. If you used different weights of fabric that can affect the size. You might try blocking it. Spritz the block with a bit of water or starch and gently smooth/stretch it into the 12/5" square. Give it a good press (don't iron) then pin it in place and let dry. Lovely fabric combos! Look forward to seeing the whole quilt :D

Thanks for the excellent tips and advice. I have completed the quilt top, am happy with its design, . I live on a farm so have to be patient until the next trip to the city to get the backing etc, I am going to follow through with the pink gingham for the back, but will post a pic once it's completed, Kind regards Amanda
