Materials

Cotton, Cotton Lycra blends. Koolaid drink dyed Silk bridal lace and cotton eyelet lace.

What was your inspiration?

I watched the movie Alice in wonderland and had to make this dress for my Emmaline. She needed to have a wonderland dress!

What are you most proud of?

The Whole Darned Outfit!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are going to make an outfit for an Asian ball jointed doll take proper measurements and make a muslin pattern first that way your pretty fabrics won't get wasted.

I can appreciate how challenging it is to translate a much larger costume to such a small scale. That 'phew' moment when it has been completed and being able to showcase your final product with us. CONGRATULATIONS!

It was a challenge to stay away from the Blue dress with white pinafore theme for an Alice in Wonderland dress, many believe that one should only do that dress for a doll and I looked at the tiny box they were putting themselves into and laughed. When the newewst movie came out I squeeed with joy and went for it!

Thank you, I enjoyed making this outfit because the Alice in Wonderland genre has become a worldwide phenom and everyone has their own view of it.
