What was your inspiration?

I love figuring out reversible designs! I was inspired by how the wicker design is woven and wanted to duplicate that idea in an afghan.

What are you most proud of?

I was so happy with the way this turned out. I think this is my favorite of all my reversible designs.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is not as complicated as it looks! The reversible design was achieved by alternating rows of light tan and off-white, using a combination of sc and long hdc which are worked into the previous row. The long hdc are worked with one color on odd rows and the contrasting color on even rows creating the reversible effect. A length of yarn is left at each end on all the rows for the fringe. A design chart is included with the pattern for reference.

The finished size is 46" wide x 66" long (not including fringe).

The pattern is available for $4.00 and is written in U.S. terms.

This is gorgeous! Very unique, never seen anyone tackle the 'wicker' look before.

Thank you so much! This was a lot of fun to figure out. Graphing the design created a few challenges, but once it was all charted, the crocheting was easy!
