What advice would you give someone starting this project? The advice I would give is to add an extra repeat or so to make the blanket bigger. These are the modifications that I made: I added another section of lace (156 stitches). I added another garter panel (183 stitches). I began to knit another lace panel and at 188 stitches I began the decreases as per the pattern. The garter decrease panel began again at 179 stitches and ended at 153 stitches. The next lace panel (panel C) followed. The next garter section followed (113 stitches). I then followed the rest of the pattern as it was written as I continued to decrease.

Thanks so much for the pattern link. But thank you more for the baby pictures. I have five cats and they help me with all my crafts!

Love your kitty, have one with a little longer hair and a few white hairs on one hind leg.
