Am preparing my 'quilt sandwich' wall today since i got the backing for this quilt yesteray (a gorgeous batik with all the colors!). Oh, I changed the name of my quilt to "Buried Treasures" - LOL!

How do I get instructions on how to make this great quilt

kirsty1-- The little squares were inspired by Camille Roskelley's "Pre-Cut Piecing Made Simple" - see Lesson 1, Topic 3. I just cut out 16 two-inch squares for each of the blocks using the various shades of the rainbow (color wheel), adding fussy-cut whimsies here and there in each 16-piece 4x4 block.

love the whimsey. I think every quilt should have a bit of unexpected just for a giggle between the maker and recipient

I SO agree! I've taken to using whimsical machine-embroidery designs in almost everything I make. I really need to add pics to my profile. I love watching people's faces light up when they see my latest project - LOL! This quilt just sold for $199 to a guy who had terrible cataracts - he LOVED that he could see it - had trouble seeing anythnig at all, except for my quilt. How cool is That?! :)
