What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just have fun! Quilting can seem complicated, but sometimes the simplest of ideas makes a great gift. Let the fabric tell you what it wants to become.

glad you like it , I had so much fun playing with it and fussing over it. All in all mission accomplished, mommy and baby happily using it.

Gorgeous! This is really inspiring. I will be trying my hand at quilting for the first time soon too so I'm quite nervous. Thank you for making it seem that little bit less scary.

Be be nervous.. but remember... lol.. a sharp pair of small scissors can take out any boo boo stitch!

Oh don't be nervous ! Okay be nervous but don't let it stop you. Hey I always say if you can draw a straight line you can sew/quilt a striaght line. So go for it!

Great fabric. I am making my first quilt right now, learning the steps as I go along. This is quite an inspiration!

go for it.. *S... every stitch teaches you something... even if its " DONT GET YOUR FINGER TOO CLOSE TO THE NEEDLE!" I was asked in the ER an hour later.. " you mean people still sew?"

Thank you! I saw the fabric at my favorite fabric store, they get odd lots and this was a new bolt. I asked for 2 yards then said no wait.. 3 yards and walked out with 7 yards of the fabric. The greatest thing was that all the other fabrics came from my stash... so I say HA! to those who roll their eyes at my fabric hording..lol.. Go out and quilt!
