What materials did you use? Precut strips, a favorite inspiration fabric

This project has been in the works for a few years actually. I was making the turquoise version with some Amy Butler fabrics as inspiration, with the "normal" bargello piecing method, looping seam ripping etc. It was getting tedious--you should have seen the directions--didn't think anyone would be able to follow them! After creating this last Madison's Star in the grays and blues, I pulled this out again. I had just received some fabulous baseball fabrics from Blank Quilting and just knew I had the perfect showcase for these!! This pattern is written with 5 different strip sets, preventing the seam ripping nonsense and uses the same techniques of reverse applique from Something About Paris! Easy!!
