Share a little about the ingredients and techniques used to create this dish/item. The cake is covered in chocolate fondant. The monogrammed belt buckle is made of embossed gumpaste and fondant which has been colored with luster dust. The joining horse shoes on top are made of gumpaste and sprayed silver.

Job well done. Where did you get the mold for the Belt Buckle? And were the horse shoes does free hand?

The horseshoes are free hand and so is most of the buckle. I used a scrapbooking embosser to get the design on the buckle. After I painted with luster dust I cut out the monogram and glued it to the buckle. I used a gumpaste tool to edge the belt buckle. It was not hard after I decided on the design.

Very cool..I just started working with fondant and gumpaste and am hooked. I am a Western Girl as well..so this was right up my Barn lane...I have seen lots of Western Cakes but haven't yet made one. Did a Wedding Cake on the weekend with Horseshoes..but cheated..I have a mold. But I did welded Horseshoes together for the stand. Your cake is BEAUTIFUL...Congrats.

Thanks so much! This is my second wedding cake that I did a couple of years ago just a couple of months after I started decorating. I love cake decorating and working with fondant and gumpaste as well. I am always looking for something new to learn about decorating!
