What materials did you use? Cotton fabric and thread

What are you most proud of? Achieving the double staircase effect I imagined with a sort of "trap door" in the middle.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It was helpful to assemble the strips from the outsides in. The final center seam did not pull as the fabric weight was even on both sides.

i love your use of color on the blocks! They look great! I can't wait to see how all your pretty blocks come together.

Have fun Desna - just watch out for all those seams around the square. I didn't press them open because there are just too many. Thanks for your kind words. :D

Is there a place in the class where it shows how to do the "hollow" block?

02/07/2014 Flag

No- not in the class. Two other members did theirs with all the blocks hollow which I just had to try. I found info on YouTube, Here's a link to one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgfzxzwTzro Have fun!
